Marlon said he didn't know how to flirt with Eva's character--as Terry, the character he was playing. He knew how to flirt as Marlon Brando, which was direct, a bit poetic, strong. How could he be simple and sweet and a bit unsure? He said he remembered a gesture both his mother and his sister utilized when they were flirting--a touch to the hair, a leaning in, a softening of the eyes.
